Before we go into tiled roofs, it is important to tell you that they can affect how much natural light reaches your conservatory space, but this shouldn’t turn you off them. You can have roof windows added to the covering to account for that, and the lightweight tiles and slates are so realistic you will be left scratching your head that they’re not real tiles and slates. A tiled roof conservatory will help marry your home and extension together more successfully than any other roofing system. We have lost count of the number of times people have asked us how we concoct our aluminium finishes, and we’re always very open about it. Mid Wales employs an 11-stage powder-coating process for every single aluminium finish, which may be painstaking, but is wholly necessary for them to have the quality they possess. Sublimation is another technique we follow for when a customer requests a woodgrain aluminium finish in Walnut, Rosewood or Oak.

19th Century timber windows would always have coloured finishes that were carefully painted onto the frames, and they would include traditional colours such as Painswick, Clotted Cream and Cotswold Biscuit. As they’re modelled on original timber windows, our Heritage frames can similarly be finished in those colours, and several others from that period, including Corse Lawn and Eclectic Grey. For something akin to natural wood, try our English, Irish and Silvered Oak finishes.
