To the manager my landlord recently employed Mid Wales Windows to replace my upstairs windows. I feel I must write these few words to say how fantastic Andrew & Michael were. They were thoughtful towards me, polite & tidy in their work. Great lads & an asset to your company.
D Turner, Shropshire

Thanks a lot – a very good job all round. My particular thanks to Paul & Dave – they cleaned up that well after the job that the house was cleaner when they left than when they arrived!

We have probably all at some time experienced the dreaded knock on the door by the double glazing salesperson and ignored it or made some sort of excuse to make them go away.

However, double glazing in Wales is not something which should be dismissed without some due consideration. Although it can be costly, as you have to pay not only for the windows but also their installation, many people are unaware of the huge amount of money it could save them. Over time double glazing pays for itself as it can prevent the amount of heat loss in the home, therefore reducing energy bills.

When buying windows for your home in Wales, the number of panels that open must be taken into account. Generally the more panels that open, the more expensive the window is likely to be.  On the other hand buying budget windows which have few opening panels can result in a reduction of the value of your property.  So make sure you buy appropriately for your home.

Security should also be high on your priority list as although most windows have multi-point locking systems, you should also look into those windows with a stronger locking mechanism in order to ensure that your home is protected adequately.

There are many different styles and materials available, so make sure that you explore neighbouring houses to see what looks good and what doesn’t, as your decision can hugely affect the overall look of your home.

Although it is rare and usually only required for old listed buildings, some homeowners will require planning permission before getting new windows installed.  It is a good idea before purchasing any windows to check with your local council that they are happy for you to go ahead with any window replacements at the home.

Finally, when buying any product or service you should always make sure that it comes from a reputable and reliable company. The window installation industry is no different. Ask friends and family if they know of any window installation companies within the local area who have done similar work for them so that you can be guaranteed of a job well done.

Sian stated; “We were very keen to use a local company for building our conservatory, so asked around, and found that Mid Wales Windows and Conservatories came highly recommended.  And little wonder!  They did a superb job for us and we’re thrilled with the end result.  We especially loved their little creative touches, as well as the fact that they are such lovely, but also professional, people to deal with.”

It’s been a fantastic month of sales for Mid Wales Windows in January 2009.  We’re bucking the recession trend and have sold twice as many conservatories, uPVC windows and uPVC doors compared to the same period last year.

David Wilde stated, “Last week we sold 8 conservatories alone, so February is looking pretty good too!”

Mid Wales Windows have recently joined the growing Conservatory Outlet network of companies.  The quality of products and service are second to none, and the websites of all the Conservatory Outlet dealers are very comprehensive.

Nick Trigg, the window salesman has also found the marketplace very buoyant, especially with Rock Doors and A Rated energy efficient windows.

It looks like it’s going to be a great year for Mid Wales Windows!!!

Hi David and Davina

Just a quick note to thank you and the team for the fantastic lean-to conservatory you have just fitted to our home in Aberystwyth.

We are highly delighted with the overall service.  The advice you gave me was excellent, and helping us get the planning permission sorted out.

We were particularly delighted with the fitters (Cheesy and Jamie) who were courteous throughout and kept our garden nice and tidy.  The glass roof is fabulous, and the underfloor heating really makes a difference.

I will recommend you to all of my friends in Aberystwyth and the surreounding area of Ceredigion.

All the best with your business, and I will get in contact with you soon to discuss our replacement uPVC windows.

Regards

Mrs Jones
